I think Leisha John's idea is pretty good but I'm not sure how effective it could be here, specially in Seville. Maybe it could help reduce the heat a little, but in the summer I don't think it would be enough since here is too hot since even April or May. However in other parts of Spain, like in the North, I believe it could be very efficient.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, this solution would be effective in many parts of our country. It is true that probably in the north (Galicia or Cantabria, for example), where it usually rains the biggest part of the time, wouldn’t be really necessary. But in the rest of the country (Caceres, Seville or Valencia) could cool the buildings during hot seasons in a very efficient and cheap way.

If white coating is cheap and doable as Leisha Johns says, I think the idea would work here in Spain because we have a lot of hours of sun that the buildings absorb and it makes it hotter inside the buildings. But if white coating could avoid it, we won't need to use air conditioner and in the end it would be cheaper and environmentally friendly.
ReplyDeleteI think Leisha John's idea woulld work in Spain, mainly in Andalucia because of the hours of sun we recieve everyday. Our climate and solar radiation can be a very helpful solution to save money and slow the climate change.
ReplyDeleteI think this idea would work in Spain. Fortunately, Spain is a country with a good weather and have a lot of hours of sun, so in this case, painting the roofs of white could work here.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion Leisha John's idea would work in Spain. Spain is a sunny country so, this system fits so well. It would keep the houses much cooler and would make the summers less unbearable, would reduce the amount pollution and it is very economical.
ReplyDeleteI believe this is a good idea to save energy and reduce pollution. At least I know about that in Almeria all the greenhouses are white and experts said that the temperature in that zone have decreased and not increased by global warming. So we should paint all roofs of our buildings.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion it would be useful, especially in areas of Spain that close to summer are too hot. The few high schools that I know aren’t completely painted white, and if that were the case, it could reduce even a little electricity consumption.
ReplyDeleteI also think that this should be done not only in schools, it should be done in every building, because we must protect what is our only planet for now.

From my point of view tihs is a good idea because here, in Spain, it's very sunny. So if it can keep classrooms cooler, we won't need air conditioner and that could cause an huge money save.
ReplyDeleteI think that Leisha John’s idea is quite good and that here in Spain it will work well because we live in a very sunny country and if painting in white all our roofs will help the planet to reduce global warming.
