  1. Baloo's philosophy of life is focused on his bare necessities. Baloo claims to forget about our worries and strife as Epicurus, the ancient Greek philosopher, did. At this scene, Baloo advices Mogli to chill out and do what makes him cheerful. Epicureanism was a philosophical movement which defended the pursuit of happiness in its highest level by getting body pain and mental confusions away. Therefore, we can say Baloo is an Epicurean cartoon character from our childhood.

  2. I think Baloo is an Epicurean because in this song he tells that happiness is in the bare necessities of life and he seeks the pleasure in these little things. He says we have to forget about the worries of life and enjoy it. Furthermore, he is very positive and think in something good in every moment, even if it's not good enough. I think all the people most be like Baloo and we mustn't worry about small problems that are not important enough because we are surrounded by very important and valuable things that bring us happiness and we could not be without them.

  3. I think Baloo was an Epicurean because the epicurean are seeking happiness without worrying about other things, and Baloo has no concerns,he is just waiting that the nature give him the thing that he need and he is self-sufficient, and with that he is so happy. This concepts are the things of an Epicurean.

  4. From my point of view Baloo shared this idea.

He said what we need in life to survive, the bare necessites, are given by nature so I think he didn't need material things to feel completely satisfied with himself and with his life.

I'm sure Baloo had good times with his friends and, at the end of life, we don't remember how many things we had but the experiencies we have lived with people we love.

To sum up, I think he is the prototype of Epicurean because of the ideas he transmits.
